The Fae: Seelie and Unseelie Courts

The fey are originally the offspring of demons and angels, with the beauty of angels and the viciousness of demons. The Fair Folk cannot be said to be morally aligned with either of their parent races. They are good and evil tangled up, following neither the morality of Heaven nor the immorality of Hell but rather their own capricious code of behavior. They are very long-lived and become only more artful and powerful as they age.

Although the fey are active members of Downworld, faeries are more removed from the affairs of our world than any other known creatures except angels. They usually keep to themselves, and have their own complex politics and social structures, which only tangentially affect our world. Commonly they are organized into Courts, with sovereigns presiding over specific territories in our world and in theirs. They delight in manipulating one another, and usually if the problems of the fey intrude into our world, it is the result of conflicts between rival courts, sometimes playful, sometimes serious and brutal…

I’m pretty sure you can use the Animation Player to use the axe animations from the WA EP (Pangu’s Axe & the Rubble Pick-axe animations).

I’m sure Jezabeel has something listed at their Torture/BDSM blog though.

There’s these axe accessories:

If you need a bloody one:

I have no idea where that pose came from though – you’d have to ask the creator.

A beautiful Stream – for TS3

grandelama:

A set of 3 objetcs (CAW enabled) to build that beautiful stream you have ever dreamed of:
– a 20×20 water lake (shiftable, under Decor misc, 0§);
– a stream section, 9×18 (shiftable, under Decor misc, 0§);
– a riverbed boulder, 12×8, two variations (shiftable, under Rocks, 1§).

“Moveobjects on” cheat is required to place them, because, for being shiftable, they should need a wall for their placement (like a painting, you know 😉 )

The two water objects are cloned from the distant river in Shang Simla (the chinese scenery of World Adventures EP, so you need it for them to work).

Sims will walk through the water objects of the stream, so it’should be better (if built ingame and not in CAW) to border the stream with rocks, fences or other objects, so this will block their path.

In CAW, the stream section and the below boulder, can be placed with identical coordinates and angle.

The other boulders in the picture come from this set at TheSImsResource.

Sounds, steam and splash effects are added using few fog emitters (a useful shiftable version is available at MTS) typing “waterfall_2_short” for the waterfall effect, and “waterfall_1_shortsplash” for the steamy effect at the end of the stream.

Sims in Ancient Egypt

tyrellsimsoficeandfire:

You might have noticed my absence for the past weeks. That was because I’m quite busy right now and not in real mood for simming. But when I had time, I tried something new:

I noticed that there are mostly medieval or 17th/18th century simblrs, we have fabulous @grecoromansimspoetry but no Ancient Egypt (as we had in TS2). I wanted to change this.

Most of you don’t know but in my freetime I write a bit of a novel set in Egypt during the time of Pharaohs Akhenaten and Tutankhamun. No serious thing, just for fun! I recreeated some bits with sims and wil post them ocassionally tagged as #sims 3 ancient egypt.

In no particular or chronological order because I don’t know where this idea will lead me!

Unfortunately, I can’t share the Temple of Hermes.

That’s because I built it in two parts – one game for the exterior (this building is empty inside, except for the columns), and another save for this interior in the pic, which is contained in a box, gray on the outside. That’s usually how I play, with different saves for interiors and exteriors.

But I can share the CC I used:

Walls set | ivy garlands | wreaths | altar fire-pits | ceiling canopy curtains

The lyre at Hermes’ feet (he’s supposed to have invented it, though it was Apollo who often used the lyre) and the fire-pit before the altar are from EA’s Store.

The superb lamps on the wall behind the altar are from Lunamai, but her link no longer works.

See HERE for the Hermes Logios.

Like the Hermes, the Temple itself is rather simple and holds not too much CC. Still, I’m liking the outcome better. Suggestions are always welcome!

Cheers!
