A red temple? It doesn`t look Greek or Roman at all!

In a way, it actually is neither Greek nor Roman – it is Sims 3.

But not because it is red.

Though we are used to seeing Greek and Roman temples after centuries of rain and dust have delivered them white-ish to us, they originally were beautifully painted. And so were sculptures.

Often with bright colors, that might be shocking in the light of our ideal of white temples and sculptures. It’s not me saying that – archaeologists have published about it.

See here and here for examples, or research the internet like I did – you will be surprised!

Yup, the statues, too, people!

It’s hilarious how people are still not aware or taught that all the classical white marble we all know and love are nothing like how they would have been in Antiquity – back then, everything was painted to the gods!

The statues were supposed to be as realistic and lifelike as possible. Time has sadly washed them of almost all of their original color, which is why pigments are being painstakingly extracted from the surfaces to determine what colors were applied and where.

I figured I’d switch things up a little, and rather than releasing more monsters, I’d release regular farm animals instead.

Included are 6 items, all more or less non-recolorable, found under Lawn Ornaments:

Cow (Dead)

Goat

Mountain Goat

Ram

Sheep

Sheep (Dead)

I did not include the alive cow, as there are several decor cows out there already (plus EA’s corral PC), and I was lazy, so yeah. But you can always use a dead/sleeping/wounded/birthing cow lying on the ground!

Download set (sims3packs & packages) : Mediafire / SimFileShare

I have another assortment of farm animals, if you’re interested.

And the TS2 sheep.
